About Us

Gingerlily Art began as a family dream, rooted in a shared love for creativity and quality. During Singapore's circuit breaker period in 2020, Janet Ang and her father-in-law, Simon Privett, noticed that truly special, high-quality Singapore-themed pieces were hard to come by. They longed for products that captured Singapore's charm with real artistry and care.

After relocating to the United Kingdom, Janet launched Wild Ginger, the British range focusing first on London and Winchester. More cities will be added after the initial launch in winter 2026.

Simon Privett specialises in pen and ink washes and watercolour. His paintings are inspired by street scenes and buildings old and new from around the world. Self-taught, Simon found more time to travel and paint after retiring from the English Bar, where he was known for his caricatures.

With Janet's vision and Simon's artistic talent, Wild Ginger celebrates the United Kingdom through beautifully crafted lifestyle items adorned with hand-drawn illustrations of iconic sights. Our initial gifting collection includes trays, memory boxes, plates, mugs, tea towels and unique Christmas ornaments.

Each product is designed to be a meaningful keepsake or gift. We may also commission local artists to add fresh perspectives to the collection and support the local community.
